Repurposing Furniture

The new year is right around the corner, and many of us have made new years resolutions.  We want to go to the gym more, eat healthier and clean out the bonus room that has become a catch all for unwanted items.  Whether you are cleaning out or redecorating a tired room, we all come across furniture that could be repurposed.  Most sturdy furniture pieces are built solid, but may have a finish that is dated or a stain that no longer matches the décor.

Furniture can have a new look with a quick paint job.  Take a look at the items below.

Just a coat or two of paint worked wonders.

The transformation is remarkable.

The pieces may be moved to another room to give it a new look.  It may provide the accent color you need in another room.

A dresser in an old guest room may be the new dining room buffet you have been shopping for.  A bedroom side table might turn out to be the accent table you have needed in the sunroom for quite some time.

Before you throw out that old piece, think about giving it a face lift and moving it to a different part of your home.
